From the About option, you can check the firmware version of Epix Gen 2 or Epix Pro Gen 2.

It may be worth emulating the instructions to try and resolve the Garmin ECG app issue on Garmin smartwatches (not specifically limited to the Garmin Epix Gen 2 or Epix Gen 2 smartwatches).
We are attempting a re-initialization of the watch with the paired smartphone by deleting the existing relationship.
This should do a referesh of the Garmin ECG app as part of the re-initialization of the Garmin watch.

- Setup the Garmin watch again by downloading the latest version from the Google Play Store or the App store.
- Go through First Time Use process for setup of your Garmin smartwatch on the Connect app.
- During the setup process, the Garmin ECG app will be re-initialized. Once the watch has been setup, the Garmin ECG app will start working on the Garmin Epix Gen 2 or Epix Gen 2 Pro series smartwatches.
