Main differences between Venu 4 and Vivoactive 6

Venu 4 is almost twice the cost of a Vivoactive 6. Both watches sit in different price segments.

Both watches have quite a few similarities. Some of these include:

  • Internal storage of 8 GB
  • GPS support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou

Display size

Venu 4 and Vivoactive 6 use AMOLED technology. But, Venu 4 has a 36 mm display while Vivoactive 6 has a smaller display of 33 mm only.

The display resolution of Venu 4 is 454 x 454 pixels and Vivoactive 6 has a display resolution of 390 x 390 pixels.

Both watches use 3rd generation Corning Gorilla Glass in the display.

GPS

Garmin Venu 4 supports multi-band GPS or the dual band frequency for GPS.

The multi-band sensor allows the watch to pull GPS data from multiple satellite systems at any given point in time. If the GPS connectivity is poor, the multi-band sensor will connect to an alternate GPS satellite system to pull GPS data.

Multi-band GPS helps in improving GPS reliability of data.

Vivoactive 6 does not have a multi-band GPS sensor.

Venu 4 is compatible with the Garmin ECG app. With the ECG app, you can take on demand electrocardiogram readings. The ECG app helps in regular cardiac health monitoring.

Vivoactive 6 does not have the Garmin ECG app compatibility.

Venu 4 has an inbuilt speaker and microphone. You can answer calls from the watch itself.

Venu 4 also supports Bluetooth calling.

Vivoactive 6 lacks an inbuilt speaker and mic. So, you would need to rely on the paired smartphone.

Venu 4 comes in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes. Vivoactive 6 comes in 42 mm size only.

Venu 4 has a sensor for barometric altimeter. Vivoactive 6 misses on barometric altimeter.

Venu 4 is priced at $549.99 while Vivoactive 6 is priced at $299.99. The price of Vivoactive 6 is almost half of Garmin Venu 4 price.
